Paris Saint-Germain and France star Ousmane Dembélé has been named the Best Player in the World for 2025 at the Globe Soccer Awards. The ceremony was held on Sunday, December 28, in Dubai, where Dembélé topped a strong shortlist to take the sport’s top individual honor.
Dembélé succeeds Vinícius Júnior, who won the award last year shortly after narrowly missing out on the Ballon d’Or to Rodri. The Globe Soccer Awards combine a public vote with the decisions of a specialist jury made up of football executives, former players, and coaches, giving the prize both fan and expert backing.
The night also belonged to PSG, who were named Best Team ahead of clubs including Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Flamengo. Luis Enrique was recognized as Best Coach, underlining PSG’s dominance over the past year across domestic and European competitions.
